Deborah, R.D.A.
Office Manager
My name is Deborah. I am the office manager for DaVirro Orthodontics.
In my childhood and early teenage years I studied ballet and was awarded a scholarship by the New York City Ballet Company to study at Julliard.
As a high school student I worked part time for a dentist in Granada Hills, which sparked my interest in dentistry. Over 21 years ago, I was hired by Dr. DaVirro as a chairside assistant. I progressed rapidly in my skills, passing the State Board exams for licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant, radiography, coronal polishing and O.S.H.A. I was promoted to clinical administrator in 1983 and was responsible for training new clinical assistants. In 1989 Dr. DaVirro challenged me to assume the position of office manager.
I have enjoyed bringing computer technology into the management of our practice and in developing my leadership skills as an office manager. With advances in the field occurring almost daily, it’s exciting to see our patients and our practice benefit from these new technologies.
